On the Nintendo Switch, Wreckfest will be released in June.
With its true-to-life physics simulation, the demolition derby-themed racing game promises “spectacular vehicle devastation, demolished car parts, and a truckload of excitement,” providing huge crashes, next-to-neck fights to cross the finish line, and innovative ways to bend metal.
It comes with an online multiplayer feature for up to 16 players with a “continuous” frame rate of 30 frames per second on the portable home console. You’ll be able to customize your car with strengthened bumpers, roll cages, side guards, and more, all of which are promised to be “jam-packed with upgrade and customization choices.”
There are two season packages available, with the Season 1 package bringing 20 wild and iconic vehicles, 20 ridiculous roof decorations, and a car customization pack with new armor, rims, and more, and the Season 2 package adding 12 more cars.
VISUAL INTEGRITY
For offline races, a steady 30 frames per second is the goal, which is the relative standard for racing games on the smaller screen of the less capable device — Mario Kart 8 Deluxe’s 60fps being the exception rather than the rule. When a massive pileup occurs, stability will be crucial.
The automobile detail appears to be substantially intact and track-side furniture malleable, such as tyre stacks, based only on the slickly produced trailer. Similar to the existing PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Stadia versions, the cars appear to crumple in a pleasing manner.
Wreckfest for Nintendo Switch has a suggested retail price of $39.99 / €39.99 / £34.99 and will be sold both digitally & physically.

GAMEPLAY ONLINE AND IN TOURNAMENTS
Although other Switch versions of prominent racing, such as WRC 10 or MotoGP 22, lack the multiplayer features seen in their bigger home console and PC siblings, 16 players may play over the network, which is noteworthy.
